1. Target Keyword Must be in the Heading Tag (H1 & H2)

If you’ll use your target keyword at the start of your blog post title then it may help you to enhance your ranking in Google.

Not only me but also pro bloggers like Brian Dean who is the owner of also suggest their blog readers start the title with the target keyword.

2. Include Target Keyword in the first and last Paragraph

While writing your blog post you must follow these two points-

  • Target Keyword in the first 100 Words of your article
  • Target Keyword in the Last 100 Words of your article

It will help you to quickly boost your ranking in Google Search Result.

3. Length of the Article

Enter your target keyword in Google and check top 5-6 articles. Read those articles and analyze them and write your own blog posts in detailed and helpful than your competitors.

If your competitor published the blog post of 1000+ words then you should publish 2000+ words article with lots of screenshots, bullet lists etc.

Use SEO Rambler tool to analyze the length of your article. This tool will give you an idea about how much longer your article should be.

4. SEO Friendly URL (Permalink)

Google says first 3-5 words in the URL are given more weightage. Do not use stop words like is, a, an, of, for, a hyphen(-), slash(/) in the permalink. So, it’s very necessary to make your URL Short.

5. Image Optimization – ALT Tag

Google cannot read images.

Google reads an image by the ALT Tags of your image so must add ALT Tags to your image. Search engines can understand what an image is about, you must be sure to use proper image names.

6. Use of Internal Linking and Outbound Links

Internal linking and outbound links also help to make our blog posts SEO friendly. Internal links mean a link back to old blog posts and outbound links means to link a blog post to other’s blog.

Use at least 3-4 internal link in your blog post. I can give you a good example of Wikipedia. This website has lots of internal links and outbound links in their blog posts as you can see below.

7. Use of LSI (Latent semantic indexing)  Keyword

LSI (Latent semantic indexing) keyword is a synonym of your target keyword. Google uses LSI Keyword to page relevancy.

So, it’s very important to find LSI keyword for your main keyword.

And include these LSI keywords in your article.


How to find LSI Keyword for your main keyword?

It is very easy.

Either you can use LSIGraph tool which looks like this.
