How to Buy Web Hosting and Domain Name for Your WordPress Blog

Many newbie bloggers make the mistake of buying web hosting from untrustworthy companies and later on they regret.

Many of the newbies don’t know how to buy web hosting and domain name.

But today I’m going to tell you a step-by-step guide, everything you need to know in order to buy trustworthy web hosting.

In this tutorial, I will be buying A2 hosting and domain name from Godaddy, which I’m personally using on all of my sites and I would also recommend you because of its amazing features.

I’ll not complicate the things which you find difficult to understand, I’ll tell things in very simple language like I buy myself for my blog.

I suggest you follow along with this guide (this guide is detailed) and purchase your first hosting and domain name and start your online career.

Before begin, you need a couple of things:

#1. You’ve selected your niche (What niche you blog about), I’m not going to discuss anything about the niche in this tutorial, this article is only for purchasing domain and hosting.

#2. Decide your domain name, if you’ve not decided yet then you can also use a free service like BustAName, or LeanDomainSearch, or NameStation to find a good name for your blog.

#3. Almost all of the companies accept credit card, debit card, PayPal so you can make payment via credit card, debit card, PayPal so makes sure you must have any.

Now let’s buy the domain first…

Buying Domain Name from Godaddy

I personally buy a domain name from GoDaddy because it gives you the best support of 24×7 hours.

Go to GoDaddy homepage and type your domain name in the search box. In my case, I want to buy “blogging vision”.

I can see now, they’re showing many domains with different extensions (.com, .in, .us), I always recommend to go with the .com extension.

In my case, “bloggingvision.com” is not available so whether I need to check another domain or I go for a different extension like bloggingvision.in, bloggingvision.co etc as it depends upon you.

If the .com domain is not available then you can go for .net or .co extensions.

Don’t go for .in, .aus, .us, .uk etc, these are country-specific TLDs unless you are restricting your business to a specific country.

Money Saving Tip

Before buying a domain, always chat with their support staff and ask for discount. They will always provide you 10% discount if you dont have any promo code. Use chat features and save your money.

So, I’m buying “yourbloggingvision.com” domain. and then click on “Add to Cart” and then click on “continue to cart”.

Now they’ll ask you for domain privacy if you need domain privacy then select any upon your budget (my suggestion is no) otherwise click on “No Thanks”.

Now, they’ll ask you to buy a professional email address (name@yoursite.com).

I would recommend selecting “No” because later on when we purchase hosting, they provide a free professional email so take a chill pill.

Now they’ll ask you to buy web hosting, select “No Thanks” because Godaddy’s hosting is unreliable. Make sure you’re buying a domain name only from GoDaddy.

Now, the left side of the page, you need to select a payment method from the given options.

After selecting any of these options, we can see on the right side of the checkout page, if you’ve any coupon then click on “have a promo code” just above the Total (INR) and make sure you’ve select for one year and then click on ” Complete Purchase“.

Buying Web Hosting from A2 Hosting

Now, we’ll buy hosting and I would recommend A2 Hosting.

This is the best web hosting for a newbie at the cheapest price (you can go for site ground and Bluehost.us (not Bluehost.in) but my suggestion for a newbie is A2 hosting).

Few things to keep in mind before buying any web hosting:

  • Free 24/7 premium email and toll-free number support.
  • Unlimited bandwidth.
  • Unlimited email accounts
  • Easy to use Cpanel
  • Free SSL (for security)
  • Free Cloudflare CDN
  • Free daily backups

Go to the homepage of A2 hosting.
